About Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA)
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) are advanced practice nurses who keep patients pain free during surgical, medical, dental or childbirth procedures. CRNAs administer anesthesia for all types of surgical cases, from the simplest to the most complex in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, dentists, podiatrists and other healthcare professionals.

Educational Requirements
Successful completion of a CRNA program (24-36 months). Prior to admission into a CRNA program, applicants should have already completed the following: BSN or other appropriate baccalaureate degree, hold a current RN license, and have one year’s experience in critical care nursing.
